"Process" color is mixing combinations of four basic ink colors: cyan (blue), magenta (pinkish red), yellow and black. The spectrum of available colors is less than the spectrum the human eye can see, and less than a computer monitor can produce. Getting a color proof print can make all the difference in being certain that the color you want will be preserved.
